Last year at this time, I had a page up called "What’s up with chillywilly.org?" which was up until earlier today. It was the page that greeted people when they came to this site.
For exactly one year, that page has haunted me and reminded me that I really need to do something out here.
So, as of today, I feel I’ve been reminded enough and am starting to put together the rebuild of this site.
And I can promise that it won’t be another year before it happens.
Stay tuned.
So I never updated from my trip to California last month. The trip went well, even though it cost more than I expected (plane fare, rental car, hotel, food, Disneyland) for only a quick two day weekend. Regardless, it was fun and it was nice to visit my mom’s grave and visit family as well.
My web plans are still ongoing, with an official blog that I am working on. I really wanted it to roll out yesterday, but didn’t make the time to get it all configured properly. There are some technical struggles that I am working on that I hope to overcome here soon (basically, learning WordPress enough to tweak some of the settings).
Once I get my blog up and running, the main site will go through some changes, mostly consolidating and visual, and all new updates will be posted on the blog. This page will be the main navigation for the entire site. I’m shooting for sometime before September, but it may be later. We’ll see what happens.
Going to California this weekend for a wedding (niece), to visit my mom’s grave and to enjoy a bit of Disney magic. This is also my first flight since May 2001. Before that, I used to fly at least 6 times a year. But with no job for a bit, plus the lack of monetary abundance kept me grounded. I have been practicing taking off my shoes and remembering to keep my coat off when walking through any archways. I’ll update when I get back with pictures and cool stories.
One of the biggest movie weekends of the year is upon us. It’s the Man of Steel taking on The Devil.
Reviews are mixed for both movies, with more in the positive side.
I loved the previous Superman movies (with the exception of the 4th movie), so I plan to see this one, but most likely not this weekend. “The Devil Wears Prada” gets my pick for Sunday afternoon. Meryl Streep is a great actress and I always look forward to her movies.
Of course, next weekend is the Pirates sequel, which I will have to wait, as I’ll be in California that weekend to see family. But as soon as I get back, I’ll make sure to see it.
Hot on the heels of the upcoming documentary “Who Killed The Electric Car?”, it seems that the EV1, General Motors production electric car, it leaving the Smithsonian museum, to be replaced by an SUV.
Instead of progress, we are in a regressive state when it comes to alternative fuels for vehicles.
If it’s about money, I know where they could have used it more wisely. All I can say at this point is we really need to be concerned about our future instead of worrying about current profits.
